Voice Chat

Simple poll.. Im considering getting voice chat zones for the world (not voice chat to the whole world ... only to specifically designated zones) to allow players to communicate vocally with one another .. and also to hold public "town hall" like meetings with admins

what do you think

I think that is a lovely idea and would certainly help with communication. I think that anything that helps us to communicate more clearly is a good idea.

Let's get some opinions for WHERE voice chat zones would be..

My 1st instinct was to put it at the GZ so new people can be helped easier... but theres a high potential that such a thing can turn people off from the world immediately

I Agree with what you just said Garrick, however how about a Talking house at the GZ, i see that there is a building there that is unoccupied...perhaps but a chat zone in it, just an idea.

I would agree with Garrick that GZ is not the place. Town Hall meetings would be a good reason for VOIP. Perhaps a special Temple of sorts, a Safe Zone, or an underground cavern that is unaligned with any kingdom or GZ. Underground would be accessible, yet not involved in any events on the 'surface'. Im not sure about more than one zone, VOIP would probably get /ooc quickly and maybe best reserved for /meetings . For access besides /meet the Talking House sounds good, a small house in an out of the way area that teleports to the bigger 'conference room' so players can use it without a /meet.

The theatre stage in dolf, people could do voice acting plays, charged speeches or singing or comedy talents etc
