Being absent from these lands some time during my travels, and unfamiliar with relations between the various inhabitants around us, when I heard the conflict at the mines, I relied on the expertise and wisdom of Seran and Stayjit. They both handled it well.
The great assault did leave some of our ships blazing on the ocean, a part of the University of Korth in flames and some of Banana Island burned.
Seran managed the archers swiftly to shadow the Loors moves and to stave off most of the damage. Our majority remain unscathed and much of our land untouched, but each casualty is a regret and our sympathies go out to their grieving families and friends, we are indebted to you for your losses and grateful to you for the sacrifices that kept most of our people safe.
The gold mine has unfortunately been sealed shut, but the Gods favored us and bestowed on us some new sources of methkarie.
I had summoned a distant ally from my travels, Larg E. Soldier, to protect the Eastern gate of Prolix, he swiftly sent in a small regiment, but they were unneeded, as the Loors were frightened by their height, although they were not aware how incredibly slow their swing is, especially with creatures in flight.
But he did offer to keep a small detail there to protect the Eastern gate from future vulnerabilities, so I consulted our Leader Seran and he was amenable to this after I assured him they are quite lazy and cumbersome and consume very little despite their enormous size. He decided just the spectacle of their monstrous size is an asset to our defenses.
After Loors flew in to occupy to Doalf Hloab, they hastily declared a hostility with their neighbors, but it was staved off by what appeared to be a declaration by Saira to hold their aggression at bay.. for now.
All has been quiet. We'll see what transpires in the coming months. My hope is they try to be good neighbors.
